Nice Warms Up

Dreary out but no longer actually raining. I am at a first class restaurant. Starting in Venice this trip is becoming a food adventure of fine dining. In Florence there was even fine dining at the home of Sharon.

This restaurant Luc Sal Sedo was number 3 on the Trip Advisor website. There are a lot of English speakers here but French as well. I was presented with a little platter of amuse bouches which included saucisson, endive with creme fresh, a very good radish and garlic toast with a red pesto of sorts.
I await fried calamari with a spanish accent on salad. It was really sautéed, sort of Basquais, served with a light tomato & red pepper sauce with olives & ham on a bed of greens and some alfalfa sprouts capping it off. My main course was noisette d'agneau, fillets of loin of lamb, accompanied with little roast potatoes, spinach, a braised shallot and a slice of braised baby artichoke.
I had a cheese plate for dessert. It came with salad and a jam with I think citrus. There were mostly soft cheeses.
Monday -- The sun showed up unexpectedly. More later...
