Encore, Encore

I met up with Catherine, a friend of Nancy's, in Montmartre. First we met in the Cafe 2 Moullins, which was in the movie Ameile. Then we went with her two dogs to a restaurant with coquillages where I had a platter of seafood. Unfortunately, again, I was underwhelmed by the food, but it was otherwise a very pleasant evening.

Sunday I went to the museum of Jewish History of the Arts, a beautiful private house made into a museum, with a statue of Dreyfus in the courtyard. I had lunch at Au Bon CousCous. Afterward, I met up with Catherine, this time at the Musee d'Orsay. We saw a wonderful Pre-Raphaelite Show of fabulous photographs from the 1860's.

As I mentioned earlier, today I lazed. I went to a exhibition at the Musee Luxembourg of Cranach but it was so crowded that I didn't stay long. I spent a lot of time in a chair at the Jardin du Luxembourg sitting in the sun.

The bottom line is I might try to exchange apartments for a few months with someone from Paris. I really love it here. I try to speak French and I can have the occasional conversations but I really need to spend some time here to learn more. For an American, I have great accent but that isn't saying too much.
