I was told by my sister that the Synagogue in Florence is beautiful but by the time I found it I could only look from the outside since I arrived at closing time for tourists. It is beautiful from the outside as well.
I then saw the new apartment of Stefano and Nancy. It is cozy and in a nice neighborhood. Then we went to a wonderful birthday dinner (for me) at Barbagarga, the restaurant of Sharon's son.
Nancy's friend, who I ran into in the airport in Bali (but that's another whole story), joined us.
We had different pastas and then steak Florentine style. It was so good that If I don't have steak for a few months that's OK.
Friday I took the bus to Siena, but that'll be in the next post.
