Never A Bad Hair Day In Jerusalem

Writing from Petra, Jordan:
Jerusalem is more religious than I can ever remember. Between Jewish head scarves, Moslem head scarves and nuns' habits, it seems almost every woman is covering her hair. One does not have to worry about a bad hair day because the hair is covered most of the time.
I do not remember Jerusalem being so multiethnic but it certainly seems so now. There were obviously people from all the continents both visiting and living there.
It is not easy getting help with public transportation. In a country where many people speak English help was still difficult. I did take buses but asking people on the way yielded little assistance. Unfortunately I have very few pictures from Jerusalem. My attention was taken by navigating the ups and downs of a very hilly city.
Continued in the next post.
