Greetings From The Cote d'Azur

I'm in a restaurant. Chose a peach banana tart which just arrived. (By the way tell Glen his tart was better. Not bad but not as good as his.)

I have spent the majority of my time going to gardens. Today I went to the villa and Jardin of the Baroness de Rothschild in Cap Ferrat. I took a public bus. Her father was the French head of the banking family and was very very rich. She had no children and died in 1934, and left the property to the state for a museum. I will send photos of the villa and garden tomorrow.

Nice is very busy and full of tourists from everywhere. Ran into a New Yorker yesterday at a restaurant with a torn Fire Island Pines T shirt. He is a music writer, lives on 12th St and is a customer of ReadyTo Eat. He had a piece of bread to do Tashlick and a young lover who joined him. I took my leave.

Also found a Synagouge. It was a Sephardic temple. Women in back. Met an American from Chicago who is thinking of moving here. Stayed for about 30 minutes. Met Americans on the public bus today. The woman I was speaking to was thrilled about Romney's faux pas. Glad to make the day for a fellow New Yorker.

Looking forward to Florence. Did I say I spent a good part of yesterday at the Matisse Museum? No photos allowed.

Must check my mail to see what I have sent already.

Love,

Me
