Well, It's Been Nice

Most of the time the wifi wasn't working at the hotel in Nice. I'd get online and then suddenly I was offline. Even online the signal was so weak it was next to useless. A real drag since I like to use Trip Advisor. On the bright side, the hotel gave me a discount. I was pissed because I try to pick hotels with free wifi. Not the case in Florence where just arrived.

Below are some pictures from Nice. The local train here from Nice to the Italian border stopped at all the lovely South-of-France playgrounds (Beaulieu sur Mer, Cap d'Ail, Cap Ferrat). Monte Carlo was more crowded than the Beijing subway. It was quite unbelievable, like a subway in rush hour. I made the train to Milan by about three minutes. Luckily at least one man offered me help with my suitcase at each station. I always bring too much.

So, I'm now at Nancy's and Stefano's drinking Prosecco. Nancy is making dinner.  Tomorrow I'll give you a cook's tour of Florence.
