Below are some pictures from Nice. The local train here from Nice to the Italian border stopped at all the lovely South-of-France playgrounds (Beaulieu sur Mer, Cap d'Ail, Cap Ferrat). Monte Carlo was more crowded than the Beijing subway. It was quite unbelievable, like a subway in rush hour. I made the train to Milan by about three minutes. Luckily at least one man offered me help with my suitcase at each station. I always bring too much.
So, I'm now at Nancy's and Stefano's drinking Prosecco. Nancy is making dinner. Tomorrow I'll give you a cook's tour of Florence.
