I am so lucky I got out and I am at Giora's house (a friend) very close to Tel Aviv. I have a terrible sore throat and I am getting a cough. I have the medication which I bought in case and he made a large pot of chicken soup last night which was great. It may rain here today and I have nothing I have to do and I can watch Egypt stuff all day and stay in.
I read there is no transport in Egypt and most of the cash machines are empty. Also thank God I had enough money in cash to get the ticket out. I was saving my dinar from Jordan for my return to Jordan. The money changer would not take shekels which considering at the moment it is one of the strongest currencies in the world is kind of stupid.
So I have WiFi, am reading the NY Times, sending e-mails, watching television, drinking tea and we may go around the corner for lunch. Just like home.
Love these photos of foot prints of the world at Abu Simbel from last week and some from the market before the tear gas
Love,
Judy (from Holon Israel)
