Famous Location from Tomb Raider |
So, the story is Thailand, the photos are Cambodia.
Having a really fabulous meal at a very nice but not cheap restaurant outdoors with traditional Thai music in Bangkok. Just finished a spicy duck salad and my mouth is abuzz from the chilies. Waiting for my shrimp dish to arrive. The next table with whom I was talking just left so I am killing time by jotting down a few things.
The shrimp came and was consumed. Not as wonderful as the duck salad but good none the less. I have not seen much of Bangkok yet. I changed hotels. So far until now the hotels have been satisfactory. Not so here. The lobby was in a garage. Looked like a car rental office.
I might have stayed but there was no WiFi which I clearly requested when I booked with the Indochina travel Agency. I paid a hefty supplement but I am now ensconced in a charming room which is very comfortable. On the next leg of my trip in Bali I am with a group and we are staying in local guest houses. I may have to share a room and I know in at least two places there are only cold showers so I may as well splurge while I can.The roots of the tree was the setting for Tomb Raiders and they filmed there.
Until then, good night from a broad abroad.
Judy
